What's In A Name?

Welcome back to school, 5th Graders!  Your task is to produce a new nametag for your tech. lab computer.

Please follow the directions below.  Hint:  Keep this window open and minimize/maximize it as you follow the steps.

  • Your nametag must have your first and last name and one clipart or web graphic.

  • You must use colors and fonts that are easy to read.

 

1. Use Microsoft Word to type your first and last name.  Nicknames are only acceptable if you use it in your regular classroom as well. 

2. Your page setup should be landscape.  Your first and last names, and picture need to fit on one line.  Adjust your font size and picture size accordingly.
3. When you are finished creating your nametag, please save it to your H: drive and name the document "nametag".
4. Ask for permission to print.  Retrieve your document from the printer and cut it to fit the blue construction paper.  Use the glue sticks to attach your nametag to the blue construction paper. 
5. Place your completed nametag on the table in the middle of the room. 
6. Visit the Kirby's Mill Website.
