- Election Day is November
7th. Did you know there was a time when not everyone was
permitted to vote? Women started the suffrage movement in 1848 and
the 19th Amendment (giving women the right to vote) wasn't ratified until
1920!

this article about the history of the Women's Suffrage Movement.

- Then, open the
timeline on the website for the National American Woman Suffrage
Association.

- Use the timeline to help
you complete the condensed timeline in Kidspiration. It is located
in the Kirby Share Drive. After a teacher has checked your
work, you may save to your H: drive and print to the LabColor printer.

- The timeline lists several
names of important leaders in the suffrage movement. Choose one
leader and use the photo to create a commemorative stamp in his/her honor
in Publisher.
